so long 2009...

things I did in 2009

• celebrated my first birthday
• began walking
• started talking
• went to a bazillion doctor's appointments
• first time under anesthesia
• started daycare at the end of May
• had my second Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas
• traveled to Georgia and Maryland/DC and the beach a lot
• spent the night with all my grandparents
• got a big boy car seat
• went up in clothing sizes 4 times
• collected lots of shoes
• did I mention ALL the toys I received?!
• got showered with LOTS of LOVE
• had my picture taken a few million times ;)
• moved two times {and yes we are here for awhile!}
• discovered that I love to watch Mickey Mouse. (jealous of my buddy Julien who went to meet him IN PERSON already)
• began running
• started speech therapy and before I had any sessions added "dada" or as I like to call him "daddeeeee" and NO to my vocabulary
• began waving bye bye and blowing kisses when I want to leave places
• still loved books
• ...and baths!
• gained weight despite the 4 months of maintaining/loosing weight
• grew many inches
• went from baby food and formula to yummy big people food and real MILK!
• no more bottles either
• went from being a baby to becoming a little man toddler
• had 167 updates about my life! Thank you for reading!!!!!
• and now I am 4 months from turning TWO!

I hope everyone has a very HAPPY and SAFE New Year's! Here's to a wonderful 2010! I'll be back next year with more updates, more pictures and just more ME!!!!

Go Fish

So I got this cool puzzle at Christmas that has a magnet on a tow truck to pick up the cars and trucks on the puzzle (wicked awesome, right!). Well I decided to see if it would cut out some time for me digging cereal out of a cup...I went Fishing!

Sadly, it didn't work so I had to use my hands anyway, but it's the thought :)

So Grumps, you can put a fishing rod on the list of things you can get me on my Birthday {'cause I'll be old then}, you know right under the FOUR WHEELER! hehe

Monday Musings from me!

"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYY"

ready for a weekend recap?! Okay sit back, grab your coffee, milk, mt. dew, etc... and here we go

Saturday afternoon started with a PARTY! We headed to Clayton to celebrate Conner's first birthday and it was FUN! Everyone came and he opened presents, ate cake and had a grand time! Thanks again for having an awesome party cuz and sorry about the nap thing. One of these years we will not need a nap and thus the crankiness disappears {right?!}

Conner had a outfit change mid way... and then it was CAKE time. He tried to give my mommy some. Isn't he SWEET?!

Then I went to Gigi & Grumps' house while Mommy & Daddy had another party. Sunday started a tour of eastern NC with a lunch stop to Fountain for my great grandparents Christmas. I scored big with some awesome puzzles (Thanks Aunt Julie!) and a coloring set from Great Grandma & Granddaddy. Dinner was followed in Wilson for Great Grandma Hare. I got a Handy Manny book there. So it's official ~ CHRISTMAS ROCKS!

I WAS DONE! :-)

Happy 1st Birthday Conner!

Happy First Birthday to my favorite cousin! You've had one heck of a year little dude. Try to stay out of the doctor's next year, k?! ;) Your mommy & daddy will appreciate it! Can you believe just this time last year you were just born and I spent the night in the hospital. You are that cool! We have had lots of fun while you were getting bigger :) I can't wait until we are both running around and having sleepovers, and doing big boy stuff like tracking in dirt, playing with cars and just having FUN!

Good morning and happy Monday everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates lately, we have been under construction at casa de crocker. there are walls coming down and new ones going up and Santa visited Daddy a little early this year and a new TV will be going up above the mantle soon too! Lots to do BEFORE Christmas!

I will be sure to post some after pictures as soon as it is finished but right now we are living upstairs and trying to get away from the mess until the drywall is up and painting is done!

So until then, I'll leave you with a little of me

rockin the crocs!

I got these Crocs even before I was born. Auntie Ber & Unky Monkey gave them to my mommy with a baby gift and I have been waiting to fit into them. I even had to wear FAKE Crocs this past summer because REAL Crocs only come is certain sizes for us little people. So this morning I wanted to try them on again and wah-la, I grew enough to finally wear them, with my diapey and shirt of course. ;-) and yes I DID wear them to school, 'cause that's how I roll (or I'm alot stubborn) whichever. I had to take my tennis shoes though since I can't run outside in the Crocs quite yet, but Mommy left that fun for my teachers to deal with. Silly Mommy!

Deck the halls and fa la la la la

Holy December Batman! Today is the last month of 2009 and Uncle Day-Day's BIRTHDAY!!! Woo hoo....let's just say he's not a spring chicken anymore ;-) THANKFULLY all the turkeys have been eaten and it's time for Christmas music, lights and presents. After forty-seven five Thanksgivings we are so Thankful that November is over!

Also, I went out on Black Friday! Well Daddy took me to Best Buy (wicked awesome) and Mommy went with Ms. Jody to shop at 6am {me thinks she just wanted Starbucks} and finished up some Christmas gifts. Now it's time to wrap and decorate!




Oh and this past Saturday....28-27....what was that you ask? Oh just the score of the NCSU Wolfpack v. carowhina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I stayed with Gigi and Grumps and watched the game on tv while Mommy & Daddy were there to cheer on our beloved Wolfpack! Oh yeah!

So now I am gearing up for the 8,000 holiday parties. Uncle Jare's birthday, Conner's 1st Birthday and then Santie Clause! Check back often because it'll be a whirlwind at the Casa de Crocker's.

19 months

Can you even believe it? I am now only 5 months away from turning TWO years old! Isnt that just the greatest?! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and then Christmas is in one month exactly and I have a feeling that is going to go by waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy to fast.

Great news is no house of pain until my two year appointment unless I'm sick and at the rate of the sickies going around school, that will be a lot! I currently am at home with my Mommy 'cause I have pink eye. Ewwwww! and ps the eye drops are no fun!

19 month 411:

• I love being outside more than anything and pitch a fit when it's time to come inside
• still love the bathtub and will run to one if it is mentioned!
• I have totally mastered the Mama and know what to use it for :-) hehe {works every time too!}.
• I still love to eat, but mostly I am a camel because I can chug a sippy cup in 2 seconds flat {what can I say my parents did go to NC State & ECU!}.
• I most definitely can "break it down" aka dance if you tell me
• My newest favorite toy is this rocking cool flip cell phone. I am that awesome that I have to go get it and carry wherever I go. I don't want to miss your calls!

Well no pictures {please don't worry girls} this time, but I will post some turkey pictures and the beginning of our holiday shoot coming up this weekend!

Today I went to the ear, nose & throat doctor to check my hearing. it was recommended since I am a tad behind in my speech, but seriously I just have boys selective hearing ;-)

clearly I was AWESOME and sat like a big boy throughout the test and passed with flying colors but I do have to go back when I am 2 because of family history. No biggie, they have books so it is o'tay! I did say mama a bazillon times and bababababa since I was reading books!

Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and great weekend. We are starting the Thanksgiving tour of NC with Saturday in Chapel Hill and Sunday in Wilson...yummmmmy! :-)

Dynamic Duo

I have been a huge fan of my pacifier {we call it pappy} and my lovie {monkey or monk monk} since I was a wee little lad. Whenever there is one, the other is right beside it. As I get older I hear crazy talk about getting rid of the pappy {gasp, faint, shudder} and JUST keeping the monkey. Now if you have ever seen me at nap time and bedtime {the only time I am supposed to get them} I run and get both and slip into a peaceful slumber. :-) Daddy calls them the dynamic duo and well Mommy just loves that I can soothe myself to sleep.

-HOWEVER-

Big News for the end of 2009 and beginning of 2010, I am going to try {not my idea peeps} to give up the pappy since I am becoming such a big boys. I will keep you posted but if you think I should keep it, comment - well call it a petition to the 'rents. There may or may not be some kisses for you all if I can keep them both :-) just saying!

If you look really close you can see that I busted my top lip yesterday. It bled, I cried, got some loving and then it was time to play. I'm tough like that :-) It looks way better today which is good since I am supposed to get my pictures taken this weekend!

Food for a Cause ;-)

Tonight was support our school at the local Chick-Fil-A :-) Count me in! I'm all for supporting ESPECIALLY when it includes yummy waffle fries and chicken nuggets {grin}. I ate and ate and ate and 15% of the proceeds went to MY school. Boy was that "chick-a-lay" PACKED! I saw some friends and attempted to go play but when I was told I could not take the fry in, I became rather upset. No way jose, I'd rather eat!

Rosie...WHAT?!

That's right folks...I have Roseola. Not to worry though, I am just fine and the red bumps/rash does not even bother me but sure had the school and the rents freaking out yesterday. Turns out they come out after a fever {which no one knew I had} and it is just a virus and once the bumps appear I am not contagious so keep those kisses coming! I was able to go back to school after a quick doctor's appointment with Daddy. Shew, I thought I was going to miss making turkey hands! That would have been tragic :-) Sorry for the not so great pictures, I was running around {see, not sick!} and the camera phone isn't that great at catching moving targets :-)

Today is my Gigi's birthday. We wont tell the number 'cause I still want to get a Christmas present :-) She's up partying scrapbooking in the mountains with friends but we got to see her Wednesday for an early birfday dinner. I sure do LOVE my Gigi. I get to throw pillows on the floor, have bath time (every.single.time!), she makes me stuff from scratch and everything. Boy, it's good to be me! TRICK or TREAT '09

Halloweenie '09 sure was eventful. Mama got a bug on Friday night and was out of commission most of the day Saturday but pulled it together so we could go trick or treating.

I was a skeleton. Not the scary kind, so don't worry!

I had so much fun running amuck around the cul de sac and gathering candy and waving bye to all the neighbors! I wasn't quite the good boy so all the pictures were bad or of my hind end because holding glowing {plastic} pumpkins was waaayyy cooler than cheesing for a picture. I did get one piece of candy but it was YUCKY. {the 'rents were silently excited}

I also had treating at school on Friday and scored lots of yummy stuff, like pretzels, graham crackers and crayons! All in all it was a great Halloween for me!

Today my little cousin Conner goes in to have surgery :( He's been sick for a long time with his ears and nothing seems to make those nasty infections go away so he's having tubes put in BOTH of his ears. Mommy says it's a quick and easy procedure and he'll be running around in no time but if you don't mind praying for him anyways, I'd appreciate it. He's got to be better so he can dress like a punkin' on his very first Halloweenie! So PRAY, mmkay, thanks peeps!

Happy Friday and Happy Halloweenie Eve! I have "trick or treating" at school today so I get to dress up!!! Whoop! :-) Pictures later. Have a spooktacular day!
