I have only been sick a few times. Once with a cold and then the stomach yuck and pink eye.

I'm a big fan of daddy coming home. I wait and beat the window when he pulls up!

I can play catch and actually throw the ball

I am wearing 18 months in clothes and size 3.5 in shoes 

Have a really hilarious laugh!

No teeth - ha! 

I crunch goldfish with my gums :-)

 I am getting ready to get my second hair cut. The first one mommy just chopped off the baby mullet. 

I am a HUGE fan of bath time and try to rip my diaper off and climb in when the water is running

Went to the House of Pain & got lots of shots and my first finger prick - YEOWCH! 

*I proceeded to RIP the band aid off my finger and bleed everywhere* hehe

Party like it's...

I'm back! I'm ONE! I'm Exhausted! 

We don't have many pictures from the party (GASP!) Mommy was too busy with all the decorating, baby wrangling, feeding, chatting, etc to bring out the camera until later so until we get the pictures from Auntie Ber and Gigi, you'll have to deal with the after party pics. Yes I had an after party, I am that cool. I did nap during most of it. Being One and partying all day certainly wears a guy out. Also I got to ride in style with my brand new front facing German engineered carseat. It may or may not be the same brand as racing seats. Can you guess who helped pick it out? It was my present from the 'rents. More on that later.

 Turning One was fun. I ate cake (sorta). I flirted, I walked around, crawled outside, took TWO baths, napped, ate some pizza, and opened presents!

Happy FIRST Birthday to our little monkey! What a year it has been :-) From smiling, rolling over, crawling, bruises, hospital visits and about to take off running (who needs walking, huh?), you have been one awesome little dude. We can't wait to see what toddlerhood brings. Shall we go ahead a write Rex another check?...yep, that's what we thought too!! You are certainly ALL BOY!!! We hope you have the happiest birthday and lots of kisses and hugs and I am sure you will not disappoint with the cake smashing either. ;-)

One year ago...

today, this is what I was doing...

Recap for those who do not know. After almost 2 1/2 weeks of bed rest Mommy went to the doctor for her biweekly appointment to get her and me checked out. Well one headache, high blood pressure and contractions later, we went over to L&D. 

p.s. she told me to tell you to disregard the swollen-ness, that's what pre-eclampsia and lots of cereal does to you! 

Anyways back to my story. We get settled in and they wait :-) An epidural that worked only for a little while and a tough Mommy later...I arrived ... at     o' dark thirty five to be exact. 

The story shall continue...

The party is about to commence, and I've heard we have to go to ANOTHER party store and then to get more food...

Birthday Week!

Woo hoo - T- Minus 5 Days until I turn ONE :-)

Don't count on a post this week, we are B-U-S-Y party planning and all that jazz. I have food & drinks to buy, decorations to get and outfits planned. Also this week is 'Auntie' Kristin and 'Uncle' Josh's birthday. We won't tell how old they are but it's WAAAAYYY older than one - like close to 30 (hehe, sorry peeps who are older than that!)

Anyways, our weekend was super jam packed with lots of activities. First we went to the grandparent's house on Saturday (& Sunday) to help clean up the outside and such for the upcoming party (Mama said Gigi is just trying to get the house spruced up and I am pretty cute excuse) and then I went swimming in a gitantic pool with Daddy while Mama partied it up for Leslie's bachelorette party. Sunday afternoon I went to girls night (I am the man) at Auntie Ber's. Here are some pictures she took so you all wouldn't forget what I look like :-)

Fork, Please

Fork, Fork...Baby

So I love to eat "big people" food now, it is yummy!

Well I may have started insisting that I feed myself..with a fork! Who can eat pam-cakes with a spoon?? Guess we'll have to venture to that red dot place and get me baby forks, because all the lady could come up with is a plastic fork :-)

Then again, who needs a fork?

Chillin' with Conner

I had a fun day today, Mommy took me to meet Aunt Jamie and Conner! 'We' helped picked out some new bowls, spoons and a high chair for my buddy.  He gets to start eating cereal from a spoon then on to the yellow/orangish veggies!

He will be 4 months old on Sunday and he went to the doctor that morning to get his not so fun shots and he got weighed too! He's a little over 14lbs, and 24 1/2 inches putting him in the 25th percentile. Way to go dude!!

I may have given Aunt Jamie a glimpse into the future...I got to go in the dressing room with her! I wanted to get down (shock, shock) and walk around so I went in with her :-) It was super fun and Mama got to hang out with Conner who was smiling and she took his picture (again, shock) while they waited.

All in all a pretty good day! Happy Almost 4 months little dude. Can't wait 'til we can actually play together.

Lock down

Well it has finally happened, I've heard other kids on the playground talk about it and I didn't believe it was true...

Until we went to that wicked cool store that Mama calls Babies-R -Expensive. I got lots of stuff, a faucet cover so I don't kill myself when I get a bath, a fun float for the pool, some new BIG sippy cups, and then she put the dreaded things into the cart...gulp...GATES!

...the crazy woman got TWO!!! That's right, not one way to keep me captive in my room but TWO! So not even cool. Well they aren't that bad, I do have 58 bazillion toys in my room to play with and a crib to climb and a chair to surf :-) It does put a damper in me running, err crawling super duper fast and trying to get the nearest cord, phone, remote, XBOX guitar! Guess that was the point huh?

So now if you need me, I'll be here. In prison. In my own room. PLAYING and being a woodchuck (figured if I can't crawl over it, maybe I'll be able to eat out - see you when I'm two)

Spring Daze

Well Spring is here in North Carolina for sure! I have been on a GAZILLION walks! Our weekend of course was busy (surprised? didn't think so). Anyhoooo, Friday night Gigi and Hoot wanted me to spend then night, so off I went and 'rents went out to drink some apple juice I'm told. Saturday was the tour de North Carolina, seriously! I'm popular, what can I say! 

Saturday afternoon we had Mia's 2nd Birthday party in Durham - no worries we were not in a "helmet required" area. ;-) Hopefully Mia's mommy will send some pictures. Then off we went to Goldsboro to meet for my Great Grandma's XX Birthday. If I told you, I wouldn't be her favorite anymore, now would I? 

Now, ready for some pictures? I know you are!!

This is my Great Grandma on her Birthday. I didn't get a picture with her because there was too many people there. She had 8, YEP 8, kids!! Mommy says "bless her heart"! 

I also got to see my little cousin Conner. 

Then on Sunday, we went to Duke Gardens. It was CROWDED!!

What a great weekend! Now it's time for Monday with Mommy and back to the routine. It sometimes gets out of whack on the weekends. No clue why though ;-)

Recap

Yesterday was F.U.N.

I went out to eat with Gigi, Great Nana, Mimi and Mommy. Yep, don't hate me because I am that good! That's 4 girls to one of me! 

...then I played a little Wii Fit with my Uncle Jare. 

 I even rocked ate the wii-mote

Then we went to see Mimi and the girls. These are my girlfriends cousins, Camille & Oliva. We had fun playing outside and being silly. I even got to eat a muffin - oh yeah!

 So on to today. Yes I know it's April Fool's Day. Yes I know you all want me to to say something REALLY funny, that's not even true. But I'm not. So go on about your day, pretend I said I'm going to be a big brother and have a Happy April Fool's Day!
