Testing...1-2-3

8, 15, 20...I am soooo over them! As you know today was another Duke day for us - oh joy! (not really). Today I had a stomach emptying test done where I had to lay on a board in the ugly xray rooms and drink milk mixed with radioactive junk - i'd rather had chocolate, but no one asked me! I was sooo sleepy after not being fed this morning so I downed the milk like a pro and decided to nap for the 1 hour on the table where I was wrapped up like a mummy/burrito/swaddled baby. Thankfully the 'rents told them to leave my arms out so I had my lovie and paci and was okay. The test was supposed to show how fast my stomach contents moved on...after the hour was over the tech checked both my stomach and small intestine and verified that it was not over 50% emptied so we had to wait 30 more minutes before the second scan could be done.

NOT.FUN.PEOPLE!

I was hungry and ILL as a snake! I cried every single time I saw my diaper bag 'cause I know I have food in there and then we were across from the cafe and I saw lots of people walk by with chips and other yummy goodness. I tried to tell them I wanted a bite - but no such luck :(

BUMMER!

so as you know we have no 'real' results but thought I'd give you the 411 as of now. I have another test done Thursday where I can't eat after 6:45 am and the test starts at 2:15 - should be really fun. SO think of me Thursday as you eat your morning biscuit :-) I'll be thinking of eating your biscuit too! hehe.

what a difference a year makes!

Hi Hi Ho...

...off to "DOOK" I go - well it's actually called Duke Children's Hospital but the 'rents call it "dook" :-) I'll bet even those silly unc fans agree with us on this one. Hopefully we can finally find out what is going on with me and I may even sport a dark blue polo 'cause you never know what helps, right? Speaking of clothes - went and scored some new ones since the laundry fairy seems not to come often enough to keep up with me and school days with lots of playing in the dirt, paint, crayons, chalk, etc... I am LOVED and Mama is a sucker for spiffy boys clothes :)

...Anyways the appointment is with a pediatric gastroenterologist (mommy spell checked it for me since i'm not so great at spelling yet) and my new pediatrician was able to get me in wicked fast like! The actual appointment they gave the nurse was June of 2010!!! YIKES! Oh a good note when I went to the doc on Monday I had maintained the weight I had gained from the week before - go me! It could have something to do with eating two pamcakes in the morning before I go to school and eat breakfast :-) Ask anybody and they'll say if I am around food - you better give it to me or I'll grunt and I'll grunt and maybe blow down the house ;-)

Little Dribbler

Saturday mornings and some afternoons we go play at the park near our house. This time I got to use my brand new soccer ball and dribble around with Daddy! It was so much fun and I love to run the fields and get crazy :-) Next year maybe I'll be scoring a few goals!

Exciting news - Miss Jessie is on the way to the hospital to have her baby boy Julien (my new playmate)!! He's a tad late - 7 days to be exact! Hoping for a quick pop out :-) We'll be off to go see them as long as its during normal waking hours! Although I'll be stuck waiting in the lobby :(

On another note, I've been getting not so much better lately so I'm off to another appointment today for some new symptoms and just feeling yucky :( Soo hoping my new doc gets me fiqured out asap!! I mean dude - I've been sick waaay over a month now and it is getting OLD!

We saw my cuz Conner over the weekend and it is getting waaaaayyy fun to play with him now! I do cheat as he can't crawl yet but Mama says pretty soon it'll be an even battle for toys! :-) Thanks again Aunt J and Uncle B for letting me crash in your room while the big people partied!

Moving news - T Minus 38 days until we are in the new house!! I'll have my big playroom back and a big yard to play in! WOO HOO

Tentatively everything thing looked fine and dandy - but seriously I am soooo freakin' tired of going to the hospital and not being able to eat for HOURS (that's a long time in toddler time!) You should have seen all the 'gas' in my stomach. FEED ME PEOPLE!

O-O-O-H Halfway There....

I went to the doctor yesterday with my Daddy alone! I sure gave him a run for his money and everything else!! I went crazy :-) I am officially tired of the doctor's office! ...but I did get some good news - I GAINED .6 ounces in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am finally gaining weight and am able to keep some things down! I *ONLY* barfed 5 times yesterday and it was all after 5pm! GO ME!

Hopefully this new medicine will continue to work and I'll be back to myself ~ the alternative is going to the pediatric GI doc at UNC-CH (no worries, if I go I will be wearing my WOLFPACK gear!!!)

Thanks for the prayers everybody - they are working!!

Oh Aunt Jamie -

It's your Birthday today! I am soo excited we got to party it up last night with you and hope you didn't mind cleaning all of Conner's toys so I could play with them. :-) You are the coolest!

You know I tried and tried to find some pictures of us but the last one that was taken was on Conner's Birth Day and that's just sad!! So next time I see you, get ready for a photo shoot! :-)

Update!

I am now home with the 'rents after one heckuva day! This morning the nice nurses at the hospital bumped me in front of everyone and I had my scan by a cat early! I ended up not being put to sleep but instead the lady had my mommy lay on top of me on the CT table and hold me still while I proceeded to SCREAM LOUDLY! Funny pictures were taken because you could see my Mommy's rings in the picture! Up next was a trip home for some more food and a quick nap before we were off to see the Pediatric Neurologist. They had lots of fun toys that I got to play with in the waiting room and I when I got weighed, I finally put on some chunk! whoop!!

...but I know you really want to know the results of my test so....

THEY WERE GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next up a trip to the cardiologist to check on my heart murmur and then some more GI tests. Until then, I'll be smiling and barfing. FUN FUN!

Running Man

Hello my peeps - well today is one busy day and starting off I can't eat until after my scan since I have to be sedated. It starts at 9, so it is going to be one long morning! Mommy is packing some food to take to the hospital so I can eat something as soon as I feel up to it. We then have a little break before my Neurologist appointment this afternoon. Also, the cardiologist called and we have an appointment next week and guess what?! - it is finally at a different hospital! Dang, there goes our chance of having a wing named for us :-)

down, but not out

sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been really sick.

LOTS of trips to the doctors, switching milk (yeah, that didn't work), Two different types of medicine, Upper GI Swallow XRAY, CT Scan on Friday and Trip planned to the Cardiologist (Yep, the hospital now should name a wing after our family!) It's been one heckuva ride. I've stayed a happy guy as usual just a not been feeling good. Also I am one stylish guy - you know with changing clothes six times a day! Good thing I'm not on laundry duty :-) hehe!

I'll try to keep you as updated as I can but with going back and forth to doctor's appointments, Daddy and Mommy doing paperwork to move into our new house in August and the usual craziness that ensues, it may be easier to email my Mommy. :-) She does have new pictures, promise - I am now RUNNING everywhere! I am a one man walking machine! I will make her upload them Friday when I am being spoiled rotten by having major couch time with Mommy and Daddy after my procedure :-)

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I sure need them now.

Red, White and don't be Blue -

Hello my peeps! Hope you haven't missed me to bad. I've been a busy boy lately with RUNNING around! Yep you heard right, I can now walk like a champ but don't tell my pretty teachers at school, they still hold me a lot :-) I leave the room and walk ALL the way down the hallway though - tee hee hee! Mama hasn't gotten any pictures because I am usually hauling heiny into her arms, so video will be used I'm sure!

Now this weekend is a big weekend for the U S of A. It's her birthday and I sure do love birthdays! This year I will be hanging out with my Mema & Gramps while the 'rents head to Maryland to see Uncle Day-Day (Dave) & Miss Annie. I am excited and have my outfits ready to go 'cause me and Mema love to go out and shop and see people and she even takes me to Bojangles for a biscuit! Love her! Hopefully she will take some pictures for Mama, this will be the second 4th of July that we will be apart. Last year she was in the hospital. Yep one year from today was the surgery. So glad you are feeling better Mama- that was rough! Well I promise to update when I return. Right now I am watching Mama pack ALL MY STUFF! I heard she ordered a new bag for me to travel with :-)
